Eloise was such a beautiful little girl. She had the most beautiful head of dark hair which was so fun to work with. I was able to do a bunch of beautiful prop set ups with her and then we were able to get some great parent shots as well. I know often times new parents are so exhausted that the idea of taking photos is the last thing from their mind but I am totally confident that it’s something they will never regret.
Aren’t they just beyond precious?!? I know these will be treasured for a lifetime.
The Dembrowski family helped me kick of my 2016 family sessions and what an amazing session we had. This family sure knows how to have fun and laugh, I had an absolute blast capturing them in their natural element. These sunset sessions create such a beautiful aesthetic and I am so thankful for clients that trust me and keep their little ones up a little later than normal, I haven’t had one melt down to date because of it either, so trust me, it will be worth it!
2016 is almost completely booked for family sessions. If you would like to book one please contact me by emailing me at kfromstein@yahoo.com or send me a message on my Facebook page
I love when I get to meet couples at their maternity session before their little one is welcomed into this world. It gives me a chance to get to know them and makes me that much more excited for their newborn session. This was very much the case with Clayton’s parents Bethany & Chris. If you missed their session here is their maternity blog post.
I was so excited to meet sweet little Clayton and he was a total dream to photograph. It was hard for me to pick just a few of my favorites to share but here are just a couple of my ultimate favorites.
I honestly just can’t get enough of his adorable little face! Such a sweet boy and such a wonderful family.

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you are all having a great holiday season with friends and family, I know I am. I have been thinking a lot about what I want for KFP in 2015, I feel that I am to the point in my business where I have really found my groove and passion and that is so exciting to me. Often times when photographers start out it’s a lot of testing the waters, and photographing everything. I did this when I started out as well but gradually I have found what my passions and loves are and in 2015 I want to really focus on these areas. So what are they?
Newborns
I don’t have the proper words to start to describe how much I love newborn photography. It makes my heart happy, I love every single thing about it. Babies are such an unbelievable miracle and I feel so blessed to be able to photograph them during these first couple weeks of life and call it my job.
Maternity
Being pregnant is such an amazing time, whether it’s your first or fifth baby, it is such a miracle. I love being able to capture this very special time in a family’s life.
Milestones
Milestone sessions are traditionally done during baby’s first. Instead of going by months such as 3 or 6 months I like to suggest that parents go off the milestones of their child. The first milestone being when they can hold their head up pretty well and when they are smily, this is usually between 3-4 months. The second milestone is when they can sit up pretty well on their own but hopefully before they are crawling, this is usually between 6-7 months. The last milestone is simply when they turn one.
I am thrilled to be able to offer styling with these milestone sessions. This means that if you choose I have sweet, simple, outfits for boys and girls ages 3-12 months that create a timeless, precious look.
I also offer milestone sessions for bigger kids too. 🙂
Family
I love family sessions, my goal is to get some great shots where everyone is looking and smiling but also to capture your family in their element. My favorite images from every session are always the candid shots.
You can view more info on sessions and details here. And, like always if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me.
I have the best clients in the world! I know most photographers probably say the same thing but they are wrong, because I have them all! Not just in Milwaukee, in the WORLD! Sometimes I instantly have a connection with a client and feel like I have known them my whole life, and Corely, Joanna’s mom was one of those people. I think she told me about 1,000 times that they hadn’t got any of those “newborn sleeping shots” of her older two so she didn’t except it to happen with her third baby. I giggled and told her I would get her those shots, I don’t think she took me seriously, but I like a challenge.
Now let me tell you that the group family shots were not easy, I mean when you have three little ones it’s never easy but I was still thrilled with what we got (even if a dinosaur slipped in, which I honestly love since that is real life).
After we had those out of the way we let the boys leave and I began my newborn magic. When I got Joanna to sleep and posed in the first position I did a happy dance. I knew that I was going to get Corely those sleeping newborn shots…not that I never thought I wouldn’t. lol
Not only was I thrilled with the session, Joanna was beyond precious and perfect but Corely and I laughed and laughed. She was one of those people that totally got me, we found that our son’s both share a really weird obsession with Cousins subs and it has united us for life. So yes, when I say I have the best clients it’s the truth, all those other people are a bunch of liars.
I met Sarah several months ago when she was just barely showing with Vivian. We kept in touch and I did an adorable one year old session for their other daughter Lillyana. Sarah shared with me that at her 18 week ultrasound that she and her husband Clay received potentially devistating news about their sweet baby girl that she was carrying, however they were praying and believing that when she was born what they had seen wouldn’t be there.
Vivian was born on August 23rd, 2014. After she was born tests showed that she had vocal cord paralysis and an MRI of her brain confirmed that she had Chiari 1.5 Malformation. Viv is the definition of a fighter. She had brain and spinal cord surgery when she was just 5 days old and a tracheostomy and permanent feeding tube put in place at 19 days old. To date, she has lived her whole life in the NICU but our prayers are that she will get to go home soon.
Viv has a very rare case so it is so important that her story is told and shared, in hopes of helping her parents finding answers or connect with the right people. Please take a minute to read her story on her Facebook page here or on her go fund me page found here.
I was honored to be able to go to the NICU at Children’s hospital in Milwaukee a couple of weeks ago and snap some newborn pictures of Vivian and her family. I can tell you that Sarah and Clay are real life angels. The love they have for their children and the strength that they have is not of this world.
I made a video of the full session that you can view here:
I love being a newborn photographer and it’s times like these that I am the most thankful. It is nothing short of a blessing to be able to photograph someone’s precious child. I consider it an honor to have been able to meet Vivian and capture these images of her and her amazing family. Please keep them in your prayers and spread Vivian’s story. She is one amazing little girl.
Can I just tell you how much I love working with newborns. Being a Milwaukee area newborn photographer brings me so much happiness and joy. Babies are such blessings and I absolutely love being able to document this time when they are so brand new because I know first hand how quickly these precious ones grow up. I always consider myself so lucky that a family choses me and trusts me to work with their new sweet baby. I think no matter now many times a photograph a newborn it will never get old.
Lily was a pure joy to work with, I could tell like many other babies I have worked with that is going to steal everyone’s heart that meets her.
I am still taking Milwaukee area newborn clients for November through the new year, contact me if you’d like to check on availability or have any questions! For more of my newborn work check out the newborn gallery here!
I love when I get to meet couples before their baby is born for maternity sessions. It makes it that much more fun when I get to meet their sweet new baby for the first time. This was one of those instances. Meet, beautiful little Lottie!
Lottie’s mom was also such a rockstar and stood on a chair in front of a window for me at 8 months pregnant and then again with a 6 day old so we could achieve this picture. I think it is one of my favorites to date because it shows the miracle of pregnancy and life.
