Sweet little Lucy was one of the smallest babies I have ever photographer but you would never be able to tell from these photos. She was tiny but a little chubby which I always love. I mean who doesn’t love a chubby baby? Lucy had such a darling disposition too, she was so sweet and was a perfect model for her session.
Lucy’s mom sent me this sweet email after receiving her gallery:
“Hi Katie, we can’t thank you enough for these beautiful photos of Lucy! they are even more beautiful than we hoped. You did an amazing job, thank you so so much..we are just thrilled!”
Sweet letters like these mean so so much to me. I truly pour my heart and soul into each session and I am so thankful that that love comes across in my work.
Katie Fromstein Photography | Best Newborn Photographer Milwaukee
I was so excited for Marissa’s newborn session. I had already met her parents at their maternity session, and really enjoyed the time we had spent together so I couldn’t wait to meet their sweet baby girl.
Well you can imagine my excitement when I layer my eyes on this beautiful little girl with this amazing head of hair!!! She was a dream to work with and pose and I was so thrilled with the final gallery I was able to delivery to Shelly and Tyler.
Shelly was so so sweet to trust me with this next shot and I am so happy it turned out. I personally just love it!

I am so blessed to have been able to meet so many other crazy talented photographers from all over. So many have become friends and have help me grow in so many ways. I wanted to celebrate these friendships and other talented artist by introducing them to you and doing a little Q&A.
Let me introduce you to my very first ever Photographer Spotlight, Angela Merchant, my friend, from Wichita, Kansas. She is the owner, and brilliance behind Angela Merchant Photography.
Here is the little Q&A I had with Angela:
Tell us a little bit about yourself?
Besides being a photographer, I am a wife and mom to two busy and amazing little boys, Preston and Pierce. I am a graduate of the University of Kansas and a HUGE fan of Jayhawk Basketball!! I love photography, the outdoors, playing with my kids, laughing, and not taking life too seriously!
What is the name of your business and how long have you had it open?
Angela Merchant Photography serves the Wichita, Kansas area and was officially started in 2013, but my photography journey started many years before that! I was inspired when my first niece Natalie was born in 2005. I picked up my little point and shoot and couldn’t stop taking pictures of her…I haven’t put a camera down since!
What do you love most about newborn and or maternity photography?
My favorite thing about newborn photography is the challenge. I absolutely love that every baby is different and no two sessions will ever be the same! What works for one baby may not work for the next. No two babies sleep the same, pose the same, or look the same. I also love that newborn photography allows me to be creative. It takes planning, patience and a lot of skill – and I like being pushed creatively and mentally. But I think the best thing about newborn photography is capturing a moment for my clients that in an instant will be gone! It really goes by so quickly and I love being able to preserve that special moment for them.
Who is your favorite vendor?
I have SO many favorite vendors! I don’t think I have ever received a prop that wasn’t amazing but here are just a few that I really love… Tiny Bean Baby, HandmadebyYarnover, No 2. Willow Lane, Roses & Ruffles, JD Vintage Props, Just Hatched Designs, and Sew Whimsey.
Is there anyone who really inspire you?
Yes! I am a huge fan of Keri Meyers and Kristin Mackey. They both have amazing skill and technique!
I also asked Angela to share some of her favorite images with me for this post and these are the stunning ones she sent me.
Isn’t she awesome?!? So if you have friends near Wichita please send them her way. And go over and give her Facebook page some lovin.
I met Mackenzie’s parents and big brother about a year and a half ago. They has always stuck in my memory as one of the happiest, loving, soft spoken families I have ever worked with, plus they are adorable. So when Mackenzie’s mom contacted me and told me they were expecting I couldn’t have been happier for this sweet family. I knew Mackenzie’s big brother was a doll so I knew she would be a beauty too but never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined just how beautiful she really would be. She was such a sweet baby too and it has one of the smoothest, sessions I have had to date. Here is a little glimpse into her session.
I am currently running a special for anyone who books a classic or ultimate newborn collection by May 1st will receive a free 11×14 or 10×10 canvas. Contact me today to get on my books!
Oh little miss Lottie, where to start with her. Lottie and her mom Heather are those clients that I meet and instantly click with. Heather has definitely become a friend over the time we’ve spent together. I started photographing Heather when she was pregnant and have been blessed to photographer Lottie as a newborn, at 3 months, and now at 6 months. Lottie is one of THE HAPPIEST babies I have worked with. She has been a dream for every session and I have loved being able to see her change and grow.
During this session she was literally cackling at me, I had to put down my camera because she had me laughing with her own little joyous laugh.
Heather snapped some awesome shots of our sessions, I always love seeing these!
Mason was such a dream to photograph. I have such a special place in my heart for little boys since our youngest child is a boy. His season went so smooth and I was delighted with the gallery I sent over to his parents. He had the most darling little features, I especially loved his little button nose.
Make sure you “like” me on Facebook to stay up to date with everything!
If you don’t already know how much I love my pure beauty sessions check out what I have to say about them here. Every time I have a pure beauty session I fall in love with them all over again.
Ashley was obviously beautiful and was so fun to work with. Besides looking like she models for a living she is a wife and mom to a beautiful little girl who just turned one.
I am so so soooooo excited about my newborn photographer promo video! I had been wanting one for awhile to show potential clients a little peak into a session with me. I love newborn photography so much and I know clients can see that during their session with me but I wanted to be able to show others who haven’t had a session with me that same love. I actually made this video myself and am pretty proud of how well it turned out! To book a newborn session with me please contact me.
I am so behind of blogging, I have been so so busy. I am so thankful and grateful that this is the case BUT I feel like I have been holding onto so much cuteness that needs to be shared! So I am starting off with this beauty. I mean seriously, this sweet baby girl is so stunning. I LOVE 6 month milestone sessions, most babies still don’t have stranger danger and they are always just happy as can be.
One thing Ayanna’s mom asked was that I get a shot of her playing with her toes because that’s something she often does. I love that I can capture things that are so special in these little one’s lives.
Oh Gavin, I don’t even know what to say about this handsome little man! He makes me love being a Milwaukee Baby Photographer. He was not only so amazingly behaved during his milestone session but, he also gave me so many adorable faces, it was so much fun putting this gallery together. Every time I have a milestone session I am reminded how much these little ones grow and change in their first year of life, it is incredible.
To book a styled milestone session with me, please contact me here! And make sure to follow me on Facebook to see peaks at my most recent sessions.
