Weber Family

This was my first time ever meeting the Weber family, knowing they had two girls that were a little older I was a bit nervous at first as to how I could engage them and get them to relax. In our house we love to play the game “would you rather” so I thought, maybe playing this with the girls and their parents during the session might loosen them up…I was right. Anytime you mention licking someone’s armpit it is bound to bring out some smiles and giggles. By the time the session was over I felt like we had all known each other for years.

Hailey

I have had the pleasure of photographing Hailey’s family many times over the past few years so I was thrilled to find out they were expecting their second daughter. Hailey’s big sister Chloe was such a dream as well, you never know with sibling shots and Chloe did so well, I know how much parents dream of these shots and I was so happy to be able to give them sibling shots that lived up to what they had hoped for.

You can already tell these two will be the best of friends, look at that little smile!

I love that I was able to slip this vintage quilt into a shot, it just fit her perfectly!

This is the third time I have had the pleasure of working with the Theriault family. The first time was a sweet Norah’s newborn session, then last year for a mommy & me session and now this summer for a family session. It is so much fun to be able to photograph kids of all ages, you get to talk about things other than Frozen, Paw Patrol and Mickey Mouse. This family was so great, they were totally up for having fun, going with the flow and doing all the crazy things I ask families to do.

I can’t even begin to tell you how much I have loved all my 2016 family sessions, these families I get to work with are just the best and it is such a joy to be able to document the love they have for each other, because what is more important in life than family?

Newborn Photography Award

After spending the day at the Wisconsin State Fair with my family yesterday I check my phone to see this amazing honor of this newborn photography award! I was named one of Milwaukee’s Best Newborn Photographers by Expertise.com I had no idea this was coming which makes it such an amazing surprise.  Expertise.com had this to say “Our goal is to connect people with the best local experts. To do so, we analyzed and scored newborn photographers on more than 25 variables across six categories to give you a hand-picked list of the best newborn photographers in Milwaukee, WI.” Here is what they had to say specifically about me! 

In an industry that is often times very over saturated it such an honor to get an award like this that sets me apart.

Blake | Newborn Session

Most babies that come to see me for newborn sessions are sweet and wonderful, however Blake was not only sweet, wonderful, beautiful and precious but she was for sure one of the easiest, most cooperative newborns I have ever worked with. She didn’t open her eyes once or make a peep. I was able to get so many amazing shots, pose her in any every pose I have in my “posing flow” and photograph so many different “set ups.” Blake’s mom said she’s a very good baby and man she was not kidding.

I love this sweet yawn and look how she even spread her little toes apart!!!
